We are seeking a Children’s Ministry Director who loves Christ, with a mature Christ-centered faith and a conservative theology. Candidates should have a strong passion and love for children, families, and children’s ministry, and be committed to Biblical based teaching. They should also have a clear calling for full-time ministry and a heart for evangelism and outreach.

 

JOB SUMMARY

This position is under the direction of the Session, and in partnership with the Board of Deacons staff, teachers, and parents. The director will lead and disciple the Young Christian Ministry in all aspects of strategy and implementation, and empower team workers in line with our commitments, values, and culture to build the foundation of the Christian faith and provide a channel for spiritual growth for young Christians ages 3 to 17.

 

RESPONSIBILITY

  • Preach and lead the Young Christian Sunday Worship.
  • Build healthy relationships with young Christians and their families. Partner with parents in developing young Christians to have closer relationship with God and to be faithful disciples.
  • Administrate the Young Christian Sunday School (YCSS) by working and meeting with YCSS Teachers, and teacher assistants (TAs), and the church. Plan and provide a yearly curriculum.
  • Recruit YCSS teachers and TAs. Coordinate the teaching and serving schedule with teachers and assistants.
  • Conduct training lessons to inspire and enrich YCSS Teachers and TAs with the words of God. Provide them guidance and necessary materials for curriculum planning and classroom management.
  • Provide young Christians biblical lessons and activities in conjunction with family ministry events such as Young Family Fellowship gatherings, English Fellowship gatherings, church retreats, etc.
  • Participate in planning special outreach events such as Good Friday service, Easter service, and Christmas Celebration service.
  • Coordinate the schedule and resource of current children ministry and youth ministry. Plan and conduct programs particularly for the youth fellowship.
  • Attend meetings to propose or report for the Young Christian ministry when necessary.
  • Provide other ministry related services as assigned by the Session.

 

BENEFITS

  • Total Compensation: $40,000 per year
  • Vacation: 4 weeks (including 4 weekends)
  • Term: 1 year renewable

 

QUALIFICATION

  • Seminary graduates with MDiv degree
  • Eligible to work full time in the U.S.
